Spas, whirlpools, hot tubs and hydrotherapy equipment water is constantly absorbing organic material from its environment. Recirculation hydrotherapy equipment makes this problem worse, due to the smaller volume of water and increased water temperatures. These organic contaminants actively build up in the spa water, filter, and supply lines.

Our Spa & Whirlpool Cleaner naturally biodegrades spa water contaminants such as body oils, sweat, urine, cosmetics, hair care products, suntan and sunscreen lotions, soaps, deodorant and scented spa oil products that quickly accumulate in the water. Much of this organic matter is not filtered out before it begins to collect on the walls, filter, and inside the supply lines. SpectraSan™ “Hungry Enzymes” Spa & Whirlpool Cleaner’s multi-enzymatic formulation tackles lipids in body oils, dissolving them enough to break their bond and return them to the filter. This all natural, environmentally safe product is not meant to totally replace sanitizers such as bromine or chlorine, but periodic cleaning of the recirculation equipment will greatly reduce the amount of these chemicals consumed.

Fast, Easy, and Economical

Our Spa & Whirlpool Cleaner is an ideal preventative maintenance tool. Keep your hydrotherapy equipment clean, sanitized and bacteria-free. We recommend filling the unit with warm water, then mixing 1 ounce per 5 gallons of water into the recirculation system. Circulate the solution for 20 minutes, then drain and rinse. That’s it! Excessively used spas, hot tubs, and whirlpools should be cleaned daily, while less frequently used equipment may only require once a week cleaning. Remember, it costs pennies to use, yet gives you peace of mind sanitation the easy way–Nature’s Way.

*Fight the urge to over-use this product. Less really is more. DO NOT use this simultaneously with any other product to avoid rendering the enzyme useless.
